Mont Alto Fire and Ems Company has been protecting Mont Alto and surrounding areas since 1931. In July 1931, the Mont Alto Volunteer Fire Department was formed. Franklin County President Judge Watson R. Davison approved the Charter. September 1931, Mont Alto became a member of the Franklin County Fireman’s Association.
