CARNIVAL GROUNDS NAMED AFTER LONG-TIME MEMBER

Oct 9th - The newly constructed Mont Alto Carnival Grounds will now be known as the Richard Sleicher Events Complex.  At a dedication on Friday, October 9, the grounds will be named after Rich Sleicher, a long-time member, volunteer and active force behind the development and construction of the carnival grounds and events complex.  Current President Charlie Baker spoke a few words, until turning over the microphone to Rich for some additional comments about the development, construction and reasoning behind the facility.

Then, President Baker asked Rich to pull off the tape covering the name and was very surprised to see his own name under the tape.  The rest is history.  Rich was overwhelmed at the naming of the facility and "thought that it would say Mont Alto" behind the tape.
